The Gospel of BarnabasRespected scholars, as-salamu alaykum. I live in a country where most of the people are christians. Here muslims use to tell christians they should read the Gospel of Barnabas to prove that the four Gospels in the Bible are wrong. I read about this Gospel of Barnabas, and there is for example mentioned Muhammad by name. And also some people say, that this Gospel is written in Italy, unlike Gospels in the Bible.My question is, do most of muslim shcolars believe that this Gospel of Barnabas dates back to first century?Thank you.

Salam aleykum. I want to ask this question in order to shed some light on this issue! Elhamdallah, Muslims always have been saying that Qur?an and ahadith show us the Truth in some scientifical issues, as it is the creation. The Muslim Maurice Bucaille has lots of books on this topic. But the other day I read a hadith from Riyadh As Salihin that says: 1854. Abu Hurayra said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, took my hand and said, 'Allah created the earth on Saturday and He created the mountains in it on Sunday and He created the trees on Monday and He created disliked things on Tuesday and He created light on Wednesday, and He spread about the animals in it on Thursday. He created Adam after 'Asr on Friday at the end of the creation at the last hour of the day between 'Asr and nightfall." [Muslim]always the Muslims have been argue with Christians and the Bible about the errors that Genesis tell us... So, if this hadiz is Sahih, what can I think?? We have the same error as Genesis?I would really be happy if Shaikh Yusuf Al Qaradawi answer me!!
