Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. Is it permissible for a Muslim to get paid for training dogs? Jazaka Allahu khayran.
As-Salamu `Alaykum. My sister insists on buying only free-ranged eggs because she thinks it's cruel to keep chickens cramped in batteries and that, Muslims should take a stand against the practice? Is battery farming wrong?
Are zoos allowed in Islam? My family is planning to start a zoo, but wish to verify whether it is halal to keep animals in cages or not. Could you please shed some light on the issue with reference to Prophetic Hadiths?
Scholars of Islam, As-Salamu `alaykum. I’d like to know whether or not the urine and excrement of edible animals are pure. I heard different views regarding this issue and, I, therefore, we’d like to hear from your eminent scholars.
Dear scholars, as-Salamu `alaykum. May Allah reward you for the wonderful service you render to Muslims through out the world. I would like to inform you that your Fatwa section is one of the most reliable sections I depend upon in gaining a solid religious background especially regarding those matters related to that which is lawful and that which is prohibited. It is well-known that Born Free societies take care of wild beasts and predatory animals, while some other people including Muslims and non-Muslims alike are in the habit of keeping pets such as cats, etc. Could you please furnish me with a through answer on how Islam views caring for pets and keeping them in our houses.
