Are Shi`it Imams Fallible?
SalamI have a question regarding the concept of infallibility in regards to the Shia concept of Imam's.I am not Shia, but live with a brother who is. I have tried to read around this topic but I cannot see where this concept has originated from in the Quran or Hadith. I thought the idea of infallibility was a concept merely obtainable by prophets, so how can they attribute such qualities to an Imam? They also believe that the Ima m/Caliph is divinely chosen, where is the evidence for all this? Can we reach a level of infallibility?
