The eminent Muslim scholar and renowned Da`iyah, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, states: There is nothing wrong in passing on prayer mats including the picture of the Ka`bah so long one does not intend to show disrespect to the Ka`bah. However, it is preferable that mosques should not have such carpets to block the means to showing disrespect towards sacred places in Islam.
