The eminent Azharite scholar Sheikh `Abdul-Majeed Subh, states the following: “Generally speaking, I can say that if one’s movement during prayer is not customarily known for being too much, then one’s prayer is not nullified. For example, when a lady pulls her sleeves to bring them down if they have punched up, then there is nothing wrong with that and the prayer is not affected as a result. The same with fixing the scarf if it is slipping or with scratching oneself, if it is really necessary to do so.
All in all, the praying person should try his/her best to keep his decorum during the prayer and to avoid any act that is capable of distracting his attention during prayer.
May Allah guide us all to the best way through which we can perform prayers perfectly.”
