The eminent Muslim scholar and renowned Da`iyah, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, states: “Carrying match is not haram (prohibited) either in or outside prayer because it is permissible. The permissible cannot be considered as prohibited or reprehensible without evidence.”
