The family of Imran who are mentioned in the Qur’an, he is not a prophet. He is the father of Lady Mary (may Allah be pleased with her). Imran who is mentioned in the Qur’an is not a prophet bearing into consideration that the names of prophets mentioned in the Qur’an are 25 among them is not Imran. However, there are other prophets whose names are not mentioned in the Qur’an and no one but Allah knows if Imran is one of them or not. Almighty Allah says, (Verily We sent messengers before thee, among them those of whom We have told thee, and some of whom We have not told thee.) (Ghaafir 40: 78).
