Referring this question to Dr. `Abdul-Fattah `Ashoor, he said,
It is permissible for two engaged couples to exchange permissible gifts as long as the limits of Allah concerning modesty and bashfulness are observed. These gifts may even enhance their future relation and implants love in their hearts.
