The eminent Muslim scholar and renowned Da`iyah, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, states: “It is permissible to eat a caught portion of part of the fish. There is no difference if the caught part is the majority of the fish or its half or even less. May Allah grant us halal and guide us to the right path.”
