Sheikh `Abdul-Majeed Subh, a prominent Azharite scholar, states: “Burying the shaved hair or the like is a simple issue and an etiquette in the good treatment with anything that is part of a human. Therefore, some scholars recommend and prefer burying the nails and shaved hair. But doing this may be difficult in the time being because streets and cities are paved and one can hardly find a place to bury shaved hair or nails. Moreover, this is among the customs regarding which Shari`ah is silent.
