Sheikh Muhammad Nur Abdullah, former President of the ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) and member of the Fiqh Council of North America, states: we as Muslims believe that everyone has to die one day, when Allah Almighty decides. So, we should not blame ourselves or others for things that are in the qadar of Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “let not anyone say ‘if I have done so and so, that would have happened’, but he should say, ‘Allah has planned, and what He willed, took place.’”
