Dr. Monzer Kahf, a prominent economist and counselor states: “Gifts, bonuses, additions to salaries, and any extras that are given by an employer to an employees or to any one of them are permissible to accept and there is no reason for them to be prohibited. It doesn’t matter whether such gifts or bonuses are given equally or not equally since this is a consideration the employer may have at his/her own discretion and make a part of his own decision making as long as she/he is not violating the contract with other employees.”
