We implore Allah to heal every sick Muslims and help them get out of that isolation to be able to re-interact with their people and to participate in different social activities. Undoubtedly, the one who suffers sickness and bears it with patience, Allah will expiate his sins thereby and raise him in status. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “There is nothing that befalls a believer, not even a thorn that pricks him, but Allah will record for him thereby one hasanah (good deed) or will remove from him one sin.” (Narrated by Muslim)
In his answer to this question, Dr. Salah As-Sawi states:
“…Allah (glory be to Him) has made this tribulation as a gift for a Muslim by opening doors of worship that he wouldn’t have experienced otherwise. Praise is due to Allah who makes it easy for His servants after any hardship. I want to emphasize that Friday prayer absence cannot be excused by things like psychological illness, facial scars as a result of an accident in the past etc. This was unanimously agreed upon among scholars of Islam.
Other congregational prayers attendance is less strict because attending congregational prayer in times other than Friday is a controversy among scholars whether it is required or just encouraged. But, if you can observe all congregational prayers, that should be your first priority. Observing Friday prayer should be the absolute minimum as whoever misses 3 Fridays out of negligence, Allah will conceal his heart. May Almighty Allah bless you and reward you highly.”
May Allah guide all to what pleases Him!
